I just read a wonderful post written by creed from the book which was sent out by the General Mills company to 70,000 women in 1944 who were members of the Betty Crocker American Home Legion Program.
When my daughter read this post, she commented how strange it is that these truths were held by many of our great-grandmothers only a few generations ago. It seems so much longer than that in the light of the shape most homes -- and women-- are in today.
I immediately looked the book up online and found it on the shelf at our local library. I'm going to get it tomorrow, Lord willing. Can't wait to read it!
