Menu Planning Monday - Freezer Raid

I'd like to make this a regular feature on, including some of our family recipes.

Les and the younger kids and I will be heading out for Kentucky to see my mother over the weekend, so this is only a partial menu list.

Lydia and Andrew went out and inventoried the chest freezer today. There is so much meat in there! We've had some given to us by a hunter, and there were several great pork deals lately. But, my little housekeeper in training has been so frugal with the menus (meatless, soups, casseroles, etc.) that the meat has really piled up. Therefore, the meat meals may be more numerous over the next month or so than is usual for us.

Monday: Sausage gravy, biscuits (sour dough & canned), fresh asparagus, fresh pineapple (left over from breakfast)

Tuesday: Beef stew, Irish soda bread

Wednesday: Roast pork loin, baked potatoes with all the fixin's, fresh asparagus

Thursday: (Shopping day) Frozen chicken patties on buns with a slice of cheese, salad, cottage cheese

Friday-Sunday: Gone
