Let's Do Lunch Puts a New Spin on Dieting - Book Review

When Thomas Nelson offered this book in exchange for my review, I really had some misgivings. For one thing, I'm already on a diet. For another, I'm pretty burnt out on diets in general.

Yet, just when you think you've heard it all, along comes another fella who's lost over 200 pounds (and kept it off for over 15 years!) and wants to tell you how he did it. After reading Let's Do Lunch by Roger Troy Wilson, I can see clearly how he has been so successful.

If you're sick of the no-carb regimen, but you hate to keep track of what you're eating, this is the diet for you! Though there are limits on a few food groups, what's left leaves you so satisfied, you won't miss what you should avoid. This is not a fruit diet, but there is no limit to the amount of fruit you can eat. Sweet! Though fatty meats are a no-no, you can eat lean meat to your heart's content. Double sweet! The rest of the diet is really just a matter of substituting great-tasting alternatives for higher-fat, higher-calorie versions of your favorite foods.

If you're ready to try a refreshing new way of eating and losing weight, then you've got to give this a read. Along with his own amazing testimony and those of many others, Troy also includes
  • an optional 14-day meal guide
  • helpful hints for dining out, shopping, and conquering cravings
  • a suggested shopping list
  • over 50 pages of taste-tested recipes developed by Troy and others who have found success with the Let's Do Lunch™ way of living (a recipe card collection is also available separately for $17 through his website)
Losing excess weight and keeping it off for life is really a matter of finding what works best for your body and lifestyle. If you're still looking, I hope you will give this program a try.

And, did I mention it's gluten free
